The National Institute of Human Resource Development (NIHRD) was established under an Act of Parliament with a mandate to serve as the premier nodal agency for the standardization and transparent conduct of recruitment processes for Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Autonomous Bodies, and Central Government Initiatives across India.
As a bridge between aspiring talent and government institutions, NIHRD employs state-of-the-art examination methodologies, cutting-edge digital infrastructure, and time-tested best practices to ensure that the right person reaches the right post — fairly and efficiently.
Operating from its headquarters in New Delhi, NIHRD has successfully administered thousands of recruitments spanning Group B and Group C posts, touching the lives of millions of candidates across every state and Union Territory of India.

Our Mandate
NIHRD operates under the following core mandates as defined by the Ministry of Human Resource Development:
- 📋 Conduct written examinations, skill tests, and structured interviews for Group B and Group C posts in Central PSUs and Autonomous Organizations.
- 🏛️ Maintain a centralized, tamper-proof candidate database for all registered applicants across recruitment cycles.
- 🔒 Ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of all examination materials and result processes.
- 💻 Develop and deploy digital platforms for end-to-end online recruitment — from notification to appointment order.
- 📊 Provide data analytics and reporting to client organizations for workforce planning and HR development.
- 🤝 Advise Government bodies on best practices in competency-based assessment and recruitment policy.
- ⚖️ Maintain a robust Grievance Redressal Mechanism for all candidates and stakeholders.
Leadership
